We have been a nation of followers.Okay ancient India was crystalline.But through the middle ages till fifty-two years ago when the last of several overseas rulers left us, our history has been one of submission and acceptance.We posed as guardian of peace at the expense of losing our land and people.We let people dictate us. We have probably lost confidence in ourselves after so many invasions. It has made us a docile nation . Passivity is in the DNA of Indians .It's only under intense force that Indians click.The emergency under lady IG, though was an unfortunate one , managed to set things right . Discipline ruled !

                                   There are probably three things worth pride about us .One the Defence forces, two the Indian Space Research programme( I S R O ) and three the IT industry .

                 Zulu's Den celebrates the spirit of Indianness this fortnight ! The tricolour is prominent !   It captures the spirit of Ancient India Through Mantras in info .There is a hint of nostalgia in A Mail and Reply in  causerie . In The same section       On Pressure cooker , Frying pan .. is a piece written hastily....hastily   because there are guys who'd promised me to send their pieces and they failed to keep them . Sarangi's piece is set with Switzerland in the background .Whether you like it or not but most of the stuff out here is mine .I fear to say the response is very underwhelming . Zulu's Den is struggling hard to make it's mark .
