Dear Friends.. HAVE PATIENCE TO READ THIS.... It was a nice weekend we spent in Haldia. It was organised by PWC for the SAP Practice Groups. Our journey started on 20th from the Calcutta. Four buses were reserved for the trip. It started from 4 different locations of Calcutta. All my friends were in a different bus and myself alone in one bus... Till Deshpriya Park (another stoppage in south Calcutta)... I was sitting shutting my mouth... Just imagine how I must have spent those 40 minutes and that to it was me.. Luna. At last our bus reached Deshpriya park and I came out in search of the other bus... My friends had a seat for me.. I rushed to the other bus .. took all my bags and baggage and came to the other bus. It had rained heavily the previous night and just imagine what would be the condition of the roads of Calcutta and I was wearing a white new salwar........ After I boarded in that bus.... U can imagine how I was feeling then......With my full energy I went to my seat.... Then started my chatter box............ After sometime the breakfast was provided .... I delayed my breakfast as I had some snacks in my home... Then started our One and Only Antaksari.. All memories of school and college became fresh... It was the next picnic after our final year picnic to Harishankar. ... We reached Haldia at 12.30pm. All our principal Consultant along with the head of SAP Practice had already arrived the day before to do all the arrangements.. We had a warm welcome with cold drinks.. Simultaneously we are handed our room keys and then we went to collect our T-Shirts...with logo of PWC and 'Global SAP Practice' written on it. There only we came to know that a group from Tisco SAP implementation project have also joined us and were accompanying us from our Salt Lake office guest House. There were approximately 150 SAP consultants. Then we went to respective rooms.. my room mate was my friend who is also Oriya girl...The rooms were allotted according to our surnames so our other oriya girl had roommate from Tisco. Our lunch was 1pm onwards and all were expected with the T-Shirts... U know our oriya girlish phobia. So we three were in our as usual Salwar Kameez... Then went out for lunch.. It was really delicious...What I feel --The food in good Hotel in a small place is better than the food of all types of Hotels in a big city. Our SAP Meet was to start at 3 pm.. So everybody finished their lunch and were ready for the meet. It started sharp at 3 pm with our SAP Partner's speech followed by our CEO. THen came the real excitement part... the documentary movie 'EVEREST' by MIRAMAX Inc. It was a IMAX movie, based on the motivation and teamwork of conquering Mt. Everest... It showed the deadly adventurous journey to the SUMMIT, the highest point on the Mt. Everest. It was filmed during 1996 when the tragic accident occurred in Everest killing 8 mountaineers. It starred with a Spanish Lady, Araceli Segarra and JAmling Norgay, the son of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, the first to climb Everest with Sir Edmond Hillary. u can visit the site www.everestfilm.com for some clippings. Its over now and we had tea and next back to our rooms for the next attractive items of the evening.... All gorgeously dresses up came to the lobby.. There was a cocktail party with live band and ..... boys like... JARaa SA Jhumlun main..... With the band some danced and rest were preserving their energies for the discotheque which was going to start at 9pm to 4am. The evening was filled with 3 F's........FOOD, FUN, FASHION For guys A big 'D' was there ... unlimited supply of all good brands... In the disco all danced till their energies drained out. I didnt know how long they stayed there but we had our dinner at 11.30 pm and returned to our rooms. Next morning was not interesting as it was raining and we could not go for site seeing... We had our breakfast then packing started and we went to the lobby at the lunch time & we were back to bus by 3.30pm... Finally we reached at 8 pm in Calcutta having a little bit of Antaksari in the bus... You can very well understand that the fuel had already consumed . ********I think this mail is very big, some may be feeling bored by reading this even... Sorry for taking so much ur time...
