As I've started growing in age headaches have become
a common phenomenon for me .I mean for my head :-)
Reasons are plenty .Pseudo Work Pressure , Real and perennial
Financial constraints , friends and people who pretend to be
friends ,idleness and the list is endless .As a kid I got
headaches ritually, just a few minutes after I was asked to shut down
our Big Black and white TV set. Those days watching TV was entertaining
and also meant "No Studying " !Even if sometimes it meant bearing
Krishi Darshan, a programme for the farmers and News .But then there
were few other sources of headaches .Now that I am grown up I've
a Small Color TV .This is a definite source of headache because
I get to watch it more , it is small (so portable) and because
color stresses your eyes more .Then there were the small headaches
in the form of exams . But they always posed to be bigger for my
parents especially my Mom :-) .
As I grew up I studied less and less and finally took up a job in
software (which was the only option left !) .A software job also means
I've to look into the computer screen for more than 10 hours a day ;
I work or pretend ! But I get the headaches only when I am doining some
meaningful work with the Machine .Otherwise its COOL .As my association
with Chips is getting stronger ,so is my productivity decreasing .
The reasons are multi-numbered .I spend almsot half my day mailing and
ofcourse replying to my mails .I chat on instant messengers .I read
newspapers online . I browse for no reason at all .Microsoft's weird
Operating System forces me to restart my machine every day atleast twice.
I install free softwares and uninstall them eventually .Most of them
are chain reactions which lead to more headaches !
And the remedy is just one.( Not Amrutanjan ,not washing face... )
Abstain from the sources !
But there is little I can do to get rid of the addictions .
Addictions which need my vision , attentive or otherwise .
Headaches are avoidable ? why get one more thinking about that .
I dont want to get headaches because I THINK !
Maybe I don't want to put a full stop to my headaches .
Zulu is still getting headaches ;-)
